If any of the photos in the In Anxious Anticipation series make you feel stressed out, that's just what they were designed to do.

Made by photographer Aaron Tilley and set designer Kyle Bean, the photo series was designed to evoke a sense of thrilling tension, and the anticipation of a moment that's just about to happen. It was created for Kinfolk magazine's latest issue, which features an "adrenaline" theme.

The photos were made by taking "two everyday elements in each scenario and placing them in a paused point of time, just before they interact with each other and cause an accident, or trigger an event that would get your heart racing," Tilley told Mashable.
